OUR Therapeutic Processes:
01
Cognitive behavior therapy
Our team will help your child take on a thought, one at a time. Together, we will begin to challenge dysregulated cognition and over time, our support will build a natural practice in your child to become a witness to what is happening in their mind rather than a judge. We will connect your child back to their regulated parts and in turn support the development of ease, clarity and presence in their thoughts.

Somatic Informed Practices
In our work with children & adolescents, we help them come home to their bodies — to notice the whispers, the tightness, the wiggles, and the warmth that speak before words ever do. Together, we build a deep understanding of their nervous system and awareness around how these body signals shape their thoughts, feelings, and choices, daily. They’ll then learn somatic coping tools for the sea of stressful experiences that we sometimes call, life.

Social skills
Feeling emotionally connected soothes anxiety. Connectedness also builds empathy. We will teach your child the skills of making and keeping friends through the evidence based approach Remington studied while researching at The UCLA PEERS clinic. This approach supports increased conversational skills; entering/exiting conversations; handling disagreements, social pressure, teasing, and bullying; and using appropriate humor and sportsmanship.

Family Systems
We deeply believe in the power of a secure family. We work with the entire family system to create a culture of connectedness, even if there are differences, conflicts, or power struggles. We use a technique that emphasizes compassion, curiosity and understanding. This technique allows everyone in the system to feel seen/heard, appreciated and loved.
